One thing i have always wanted to do, but never seemed to have the time to "waste" is...to take pictures of perfect tiny waves. I have seem some by professional photographers, and they can be amazing. Well this first batch of photos may not be amazing, but its a start. I only spent 5 minutes doing it, you actually need to spend a lot of time to get the perfect light and color. Also it is hard to time the tiny lip folding over and touching the water as you would in taking a photo of a larger wave. Enjoy...
This is a picture of our Kaija catching her first waves with me....on a float!
One of KJ's favorite things to do is to be in a picture.....okay not family pictures but SURF PICTURES! So Kristjan got a great interview (2 pages), and we got a two page picture inside, a feature picture and THE FRONT COVER! I don't have a scanner so this is the best I could do to show it off....
Kristjan's parents have been visiting for the last three weeks and it has been great! They have been spending lots of time with the grandkids which has been such a blessing for them and us. During their time with us, we took a 2 1/2 hour boat ride to another island called Porto Santo. This island is very different from ours...not green and lush but it has the most amazing white sand beaches. The kids don't pay the boat ride and we found a really great, cheap place for all of us to stay. All that to say.....we had an amazing time. Here are some pictures...
My sweet sweet beautiful Kaija. She absolutely loves life and lives it to the fullest. She loves being a princess, wearing dresses and dancing. She is always thinking of others and making things for her friends and family. God has given her a beautiful spirit.
I decided to write this because just tonight she wanted me to dance with her. She was the princess and I had to be the prince. She always begs me to dance with her and many times I just tell her I will watch as I do other things because I have lots to do. Tonight I took sometime to dance with her.
After getting the kids to bed...I checked my email and a friend wrote me about the death of Steven Curtis Chapman's 5 year old daughter. Kaija is going to be 5 this year so this hit close to home. Then I watched this youtube video and this song describes my daughter....please watch.
I have been following this story for several months and have to share it with you. This is a true story that has finally unfolded. It brought me to huge tears tonight and was a great blessing to my heart. I held my six month little baby Adelei and cried many tears. I ask you to please watch ALL these videos in this order. It will bless you too. This is the Smith Family (husband Todd is the lead singer to the Christian group Selah) and the story and life of their fourth child little baby Audrey Caroline born and died on April 7, 2008.
Hard to believe my baby is six months old....oh the fun is just beginning. Everyday is an adventure with these three but well worth it!!! Could they be any more cute! Thanks God for these precious ones....I am so blessed!
