So I Am Officially Working From Home....

Not like I didn't work before...three kids all under the age of four. Ha but on top of that I now have a job "after hours". How will I do it, not sure but with God's grace. I like it but am having a hard time keeping up with the daily demands but I am excited about this opportunity as it helps us keep our lifestyle to be able to live here in Madeira. Sob basically I am a web manager which means I update & edit a website. Check it out at www.qevon.com and let me know what you think...

It's Been a Long Time

Well, I have decided to blog again...okay so I took a break during our summer in the US. We had such a wonderful time with family and friends and was a much needed break. I just thank God for providing such a great opportunity.

Life has continued as busy as ever...kids keep growing, KJ started teaching English classes again, I started a new job-(Web manager), Adelei is almost walking and loves stairs and our house is completely under construction. These are just a few things we have been busy with.

This weekend our village is having a festival and they stay up singing, dancing and just hanging out till 2 in the morning in the church square (this is right across from our house so we are not sleeping). It is such a fun and festive time.

Tomorrow Adelei turns 11 months and my Grandma Paul turns 90!

I will write more soon but check out the web page I am working on and some recent pics of the family....

Adelei 10 months (almost 11)

Why I don't get much done....she loves stairs!

A Hawaiian dress my sister gave Kaija.

The second man in my life.

Adelei is taking steps...alone too.

And someone said Porto Santo has no waves!

One thing i have always wanted to do, but never seemed to have the time to "waste" is...to take pictures of perfect tiny waves. I have seem some by professional photographers, and they can be amazing. Well this first batch of photos may not be amazing, but its a start. I only spent 5 minutes doing it, you actually need to spend a lot of time to get the perfect light and color. Also it is hard to time the tiny lip folding over and touching the water as you would in taking a photo of a larger wave. Enjoy...

This is a picture of our Kaija catching her first waves with me....on a float!

First Front Cover Shot!!!

One of KJ's favorite things to do is to be in a picture.....okay not family pictures but SURF PICTURES! So Kristjan got a great interview (2 pages), and we got a two page picture inside, a feature picture and THE FRONT COVER! I don't have a scanner so this is the best I could do to show it off....

Porto Santo Vacation

Kristjan's parents have been visiting for the last three weeks and it has been great! They have been spending lots of time with the grandkids which has been such a blessing for them and us. During their time with us, we took a 2 1/2 hour boat ride to another island called Porto Santo. This island is very different from ours...not green and lush but it has the most amazing white sand beaches. The kids don't pay the boat ride and we found a really great, cheap place for all of us to stay. All that to say.....we had an amazing time. Here are some pictures...

Dancing Life Away

My sweet sweet beautiful Kaija. She absolutely loves life and lives it to the fullest. She loves being a princess, wearing dresses and dancing. She is always thinking of others and making things for her friends and family. God has given her a beautiful spirit.

I decided to write this because just tonight she wanted me to dance with her. She was the princess and I had to be the prince. She always begs me to dance with her and many times I just tell her I will watch as I do other things because I have lots to do. Tonight I took sometime to dance with her.

After getting the kids to bed...I checked my email and a friend wrote me about the death of Steven Curtis Chapman's 5 year old daughter. Kaija is going to be 5 this year so this hit close to home. Then I watched this youtube video and this song describes my daughter....please watch.
